Sa pag ukay nako sa akong "kaban", ako kining nakita, usa sa mga papel nga amung gi suwat-suwatan niadtong nag retreat kami sa bukid sa Mantalungon, Dalaguete. Wala na ko matingala sa ilang gipangsuwat kay lagi puro mga kamatuoran. Ambot lang kaha kung ang susama nga papel nila kay ila pang gitapigan. Maminyo o matigulang nalang ko dili gyud ni nako wagtangon nga papel aron makahinumdum ko sa akong ka batanon.

Kamu lang ang bahala kung mutuo mu sa gipangsuwat nila...hehehe

Ciriaco “Cacoy” Cañete

Born in San Fernando Cebu in 1919, Grand Master Cacoy Cañete receive the Presidential Trophy after he became a Champion in the First National Open Eskrima (Arnis) Championships in 1979. He was the only Filipino Martial Artist invited to join the World Martial Arts Festival in Adelaide. South Australia in August 1988. He founded Eskrido, which is Eskrima integrated with Jiu-Jitsu and Judo which revolutionized Doce Pares Eskrima. A recipient of numerous citations and accolades one of which is the Life Membership Award from the US Martial Arts Association in Missouri, USA in 2006. Cacoy is also the author of numerous books on Eskrima, the latest of which "Eskrima Techniques", is due to come out sometime in June 2008. He has conducted several Eskrima Eskrido and Pangamot Seminars in the US, Canada, Mexico, England, Germany, Poland and Australia since 1981.

Manuel “Maning” Velez

Prof. Manuel P. Velez or Maestro Maning to his friends was the music icon of Cebu. His compositions, Luha sa Kalipay way made into a Visayan Movie of the same title, Lawiswis sa Kawayan, Makabibihag ang Rosas, Balitaw ni Inday, Ako'y Kampuput, Malipayon Ako Karon, among into different languages and dialects. The most famous among his children is the actress, Lilian Velez. Prof. Manuel Velez practically spent all his life making music, playing the piano and composing songs that lingered thru the ages.
